The Board of Education of Prairie Grove Consolidated School District 46 continues seeking parents, community members and staff members who are interested in volunteering to serve on four committees, described more fully below. The four committees are:



The Board of Education values the support of its community and the knowledge that these partnerships provide valuable and exciting opportunities for District 46 students. Committees are formed by the Board for the purpose of seeking advice and providing widespread involvement in the issues impacting the District. More information about each committee can be found on the Committee Volunteer Form, a copy of which is attached, and also on the District’s website:


Board committee meetings are governed by the Illinois Open Meetings Act (OMA) and each member of a committee is required to complete a short online training course at their own convenience that is free of charge. All committee meetings are open to the public. Committee members are asked to serve a term of one year that ends each June 30. Once formed, committees will develop their individual meeting schedules.
