GEMS (Girls in Engineering Math and Science) Conference (Grades 6-8)

District 155 is offering an exciting opportunity for girls in grades 6-8 to explore the area of STEM.  Please see the information below:

When: Saturday, January 30
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Where: Prairie Ridge High School
6000 Dvorak Drive
Crystal Lake, IL 60012

 
District 155 will host its first GEMS (Girls in Engineering Math and Science) Conference to engage sixth through eighth grade girls in a variety of STEM career opportunities.  District 155 is partnering with local businesses and community members to provide hands-on activities in architecture, computer science, environmental science, forensics, microbiology - infectious diseases, polymers and robotics.
The event is free.
 
*Registration opens TODAY!  Registration forms are available online. Please see the quick link on the website. It will be first come, first serve basis for the first 100 spots.  Additional spots may be available.
