Curriculum Night TONIGHT! - Important Update

posted Sep 8, 2016, 6:56 AM by Web Master   [ updated Sep 9, 2016, 12:58 PM ]

PG Families:

As we expect extremely humid conditions throughout the elementary wing, please be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes as we anticipate our floors may be slippery.  We have fans throughout the building but when moisture of this level builds up, fans alone simply cannot take care of the situation.

Enjoy the evening and be extremely careful when moving about the halls!

Philip V. Bender, PhD, Superintendent

Reminder: Superintendent Survey - Deadline Sep. 5th

posted Aug 30, 2016, 9:24 AM by Web Master   [ updated Sep 9, 2016, 12:59 PM ]

The Prairie Grove Consolidated School District 46 Board of Education is conducting a search for a new superintendent due to the pending December retirement of Dr. Phil Bender. The selection of a new superintendent is probably the most important decision a board of education has to make; therefore, the Board has hired the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) to assist in this process.

The Board of Education is seeking board, staff, parent and community member input in the search process. The Board requests that everyone complete an online survey provided by the IASB. The results will be tallied and used by the Board and Screening Team to develop a brochure to advertise the position.

The survey can be accessed at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NW796NF

The survey will be open until 11:45 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2016.

Thank you for taking time to complete the survey.
