The PG Players are excited to present:

"A Walk In the Woods" by Debbie Metzler
on
Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th
 at 7:00 pm.

Our student directors, cast and crew have worked hard and cannot wait to share their talents with the PG community. The play is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service.

In this version of the play, “A Walk In the Woods”, you will find the tales of Goldilocks, The Three Bears, Red Riding Hood, The Three Pigs, and Hansel & Gretel. Throw in several Mother Goose characters too and you have a well-blended fractured fairy tale adventure!

Goldilocks, forest-savvy from having to survive in the woods without a family, is on the run from the Three Bears. She takes time to help Red Riding Hood, who is leery of her stepmother’s motivation in sending her out into the woods at dusk with a basket full of food and a bright red cloak. Along the way, they are saved by the Woodsman (who also happens to be Hansel and Gretel’s father) and from the Big Bad Wolf. By the time you bring in a few citizens of Mother Goose’s village, including Jack Horner, the Butcher, the Baker and the Candlestick Maker, you see why this zany fractured fairy tale is a crowd favorite!
