Homework/Assignment Notebook Checking
All students from third through eighth grade are provided with an assignment notebook to organize their assignments, quiz/test dates, and projects. Please check with your child daily to see what assignments are due and to ensure that they are completed on time. Typically, teachers allow students time in class to work on assignments. We value your partnership in checking on your child's homework :)
Homework Club 3-8
Prairie Grove will be running it's annual homework club for identified students in third through eighth grade beginning next week. Invitations were sent out last week.

Board of Education petition circulation and filing for theConsolidated Election is quickly approaching. Although in the past, school districts have handled the election process for school board members, it is now being handled at the County Clerk’s Office. If you plan to run for school board, you will need to pick up your petition and election documents at the County Clerk’s Office. The following dates have been established by the Illinois Board of Elections.

This is a friendly reminder to parents that by Illinois State Law all kindergarten and sixth grade physicals/immunization records and kindergarten eye exams are due by. Your child will be excluded from school if the deadline is missed.
We are excited to announce that each school's announcements are being led by our students. Fifth grade students are in charge of creating our announcements with the help of Mrs. Mate and the Student Council Representatives are in charge of the Junior High announcements with Mrs. Hart's assistance. It is our goal to provide this opportunity to students in fifth grade and other students in the junior high once the school year progresses.
Parent Teacher Conferences
For the first time in many years, both elementary and junior high parent-teacher conferences will be held during the same two day period. Conferences will be held onand An elementary letter was sent home with your child yesterday. Elementary conferences are set up ahead of time. A junior high conference flyer will be sent home prior to conferences to let parents know more information.
