Dear PG Parent,
It's getting a little brisk outside. The fall colors were brilliant but are fading as old man winter approaches. Please make sure your student is wearing appropriate clothing for the up and down weather. Along with new weather comes new announcements below:
8th Grade Parents/Students
This is just a friendly reminder that students are scheduled to take the EXPLORE exam on Saturday, November 8th. Your efforts thus far to promote this event have been greatly appreciated!
Please encourage students to arrive at their home high school the morning of testing no later than. This year CHSD 155 has made enhancements to the EXPLORE testing experience. For instance, the majority of students will not be required to bubble-in their name, school and other student demographic information. As a result, they will take less time with the set-up or pre-test activities than what was required in the past.
In fact, we anticipate most students will finish at approximately 1030AM orif they are taking the Honors writing placement exam. These ending times are different than originally indicated in the parent/school letter.
Veteran's Day -
Mrs. Mate is planning to share photos of students' relatives that have served in the Armed Forces with our school children in a video during our morning announcements on Veterans' Day.
If you would like a chance to have your loved ones photos included please send an electronic file to the district to firstname.lastname@example.org by November 5, 2014.
Elementary Halloween Parade
Due to the forecast, the parade will be indoors. Please understand that we will be holding parents in our front lobby and/or outside the doors until the parade is ready to begin. We plan on having the Prairie Grove Police present as an extra precaution. More information is attached (Halloween Information Letter).
A flyer for the Prairie Ridge Pom Clinic can be found on our Virtual Backpack here: Virtual Backpack Link
Parent Safety in Parking Lot
Following the procedures for picking up your children is extremely important to the safety of our children. Elementary parents are asked to park and pick up your children at the side door. Junior High parents are asked to pull their car up according to the map in the Parent Student Handbook. Please drive cautiously, do not use your cell phone and be patient as students exit the building.
