Three weeks ago yesterday, Prairie Grove teachers, staff, and administration welcomed back 750 smiling students, from preschool through 8th grade. By all accounts, it's been a great school opening. Below are a few important announcements/reminders:

CHESS CLUB IS BACK
We are thrilled to once again offer our 1st through 5th grade students an opportunity to learn to play chess. Chess is considered the sport of the mind and teaches analytical and critical thinking, patience, concentration, self-discipline, responsibility, how to deal with both winning and losing, and wise decision-making. Beginners are always welcome. Join Chess -- an exciting and fun enrichment program that meets Wednesdays after school. The first session begins Wednesday, September 24, 2014! Registration is online and closes , 2014.

ELEMENTARY LUNCHROOM SUPERVISORS NEEDED
Are you interested in working just 2.5 hours a day in the elementary lunchroom? If so, lunch and recess supervision is the perfect job for you. You can be home when the children leave in the morning and home when they get off the bus. Please contact Joan McAvoy in the elementary district office to apply.
