Dear PG Parents,

District News

Family Support

The Family Resource Center on Disabilities Parent Training and Information Center and Illinois RtI Network are offering this FREE informational session for parents of children who struggle with reading, math, or behavior. Parents who preregister and attend the entire event will receive a $20 WalMart gift card.  The session is titled The What, The Why, and The How of a Response to Intervention (RTI) Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).  One of the sessions will be held in Crystal Lake on September 25 at Families ETC.

Lunch Service News

The Ceres Food Service is working hard to meet the new federal requirements for school lunches. When appropriate, we will share any new modifications to the lunch program. One such change is salad dressing. Students are only allowed one packet of salad dressing per item. Salad dressing will not be provided for students who bring salads from home unfortunately. Thank you for understanding.

Safety Drills

The District will, as of Monday, have completed three safety drills: fire drill, tornado drill and a lockdown drill. Our first job is to maintain the safety of your children and we want you to be aware of our ongoing efforts to do so. Please take the time to talk to your child(ren) about the importance of being quiet during these drills. In an emergency situation, emergency personnel and staff will need to be able to communicate with minimal disruptions.
