Dear PG Parent/Guardian,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! Please check out the messages for each school below:

Junior High & Elementary News
1. The PTO Meeting is tonight at 7:00 p.m. and will be located in the Elementary Library.
2. The New PTO website can be found here: http://dist46.my-pto.org/
3. PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year is well underway. We selected the Chip Shoppe as our fundraising partner this year based on quality and varied merchandise and they also offered an exciting incentive program for the children. Forms and monies are due 9/10. For every child that sells 12 items or more, the Big Blast Party is scheduled for 10/15. Please ask your family, friends and neighbors to help our PTO by buying these nifty household items, holiday fare and delicious goodies as part of our fundraiser.
4. The Prairie Grove Advanced Band will be performing at the Prairie Ridge High School Football game this Friday night! Come and see them if you have a chance.
5. Please return the back page of the Parent Student Handbook signed as soon as possible. We would like all parents to be aware of any changes in the handbook.

Notes from the Office
1. If you already created an account for PowerSchool, you can continue using the same username and password.  If you are new to PowerSchool for Parents, you will need to utilize the PowerSchool for Parents brochure that was provided in the folder your child received at orientation or on the first day of school.  If you need assistance, you can call the front office
2. Please reinforce with your child to listen to our morning announcements for important information throughout the year. You can also check the announcements by looking at PowerSchool for Parents.
3. If your child will be riding a different bus or need to get off at a different stop, they must have a written note from you.  They should bring this note to the front office first thing in the morning in order to get a bus pass.
4. If you need to bring an item to your child during the day, you will need to leave it in the office and write your child's name on the wipe off board in the hallway near the locker rooms.  It will be your child's responsibility to check the board and then come to the office to pick up their item.
5. Parents are not able to eat with their child in the Junior High due to space limitations.
6. In order to avoid disrupting classrooms, we ask if your child will be leaving early to please send them with a note stating the time you will pick them up.  They are to bring the note to the office, first thing in the morning, so they can be issued a pass to come to the office at the appropriate time.
7. When returning your child to school after a medical/dental appointment, please bring a note or receipt from that appointment so the time absent may be excused.
8. Students who have excessive tardies will be issued a warning after five tardies and may be given a detention after the warning. Please inform the school of any issues we may be unaware of.
