Due to the weather forecast of heavy and sustained snow through the late evening and into the school day tomorrow, District 46 will be closed – Monday, January 28, 2019 along with all after school activities. Additionally, we are monitoring a forecast with wind chill temperatures well below zero approaching or exceeding the wind chill warning designation later this week. Please monitor District 46 communications closely as we will update the status of school closings as soon as there is a change. Notification of school closings is sent out via Thrillshare as an email, text, and/or phone call. For those who have the District 46 app, a notification will also be pushed out to them and linked to our social media. Prairie Grove Athletics and Student Council are excited to announce the PG Student 2019 Girls Basketball Athletics Pass. The cost will be $5.00 and can be purchased in the Junior High Office or the Webstore until January 23rd. The Pass will only cover regular season home games. It does not cover entry into any of the MNC Tournament games or the Student-Faculty game.

Like many schools and businesses across Illinois and the United States, PG received a threat via email today. We take these threats very seriously and contacted the local police. Village of Prairie Grove Police Department responded immediately and our facility was searched by police and school officials. No credible reason for a lockdown or evacuation was found at PG. As always, we remain vigilant and keep student and staff safety as a top priority.
