CSD 46 School Report Cards
by Dr. Mary Fasbender
As a part of the Better Schools Accountability Law of 1985, public school districts must provide school report cards each year to parents and others (upon request). These report cards include information about the school and district in the following categories: student characteristics, the instructional setting, the school district’s finances, and student performance on state assessments.
It is the intent of the state assessments to measure students’ progress in mastering the Illinois Learning Standards. The Standards were developed in 1997 to indicate what Illinois students should know and be able to do. These Standards reference curriculum, instruction, and assessment together as a single framework for student learning. The Standards also shape what is being taught and how. This Illinois State Report Card assessment is one measure of evidence for attainment of the Standards.
The reports are pdf files, so Adobe Reader is required to view them. You may download a copy of Adobe Reader by clicking on that button on this homepage and then access each school’s Report Card.
