Strategic Plan Input Requested

Dear District 46 Residents,
As you probably know District 46 is developing a Strategic Plan to establish a direction for the school district for the foreseeable future. At the January 15, 2008 Board of Education Meeting I presented the Strategic Plan Team's recommendations in the form of the Strategic Plan Draft. Once the process is complete the Plan will also include Action Plans for each of the Goals listed along with the Vision, Mission, and Beliefs. The Strategic Plan Team was comprised of a cross section of our school community members who met over several days to create this draft document.
The Board offered their initial input and directed me to now ask
the public for their comments. Public input is an important part of
the Strategic Planning Process. As a result, the Strategic Plan
Draft may be accessed by clicking on the link located below. I
would ask that you send your comments or ideas on this draft to
Mary Sutfin, my secretary, at msutfin@dist46.org by Monday,
February 11, 2008. These comments will be shared with the Board and
then discussed at the February 19, 2008 Regular Meeting.
Your input is valued and will help District 46 to create a
Strategic Plan for both now and the future that will serve to guide
our decisions. On behalf of the District, Board, and myself I want
to take this opportunity, in advance, to thank you for your input
on this Strategic Plan Draft. I would also invite you to continue
to follow its progress in the weeks ahead.
