New School Logo Revealed!
After months of planning, design, and voting we have a new district logo! Our new logo represents many different facets of our school in one distinct design. We begin with our district mascot, the Panther, in the center surrounded by R.O.A.R. which represents the ideals that we all strive to achieve: Respect, Ownership, Attitude, and Responsibility. Above, is our district's new vision statement: "Inspiring individual excellence to enhance the future". Below, the many layers of our district are represented: School, Community, and Family.
Our new district logo was originally designed and drawn by 5th grader Arielis Reyes. This logo was submitted along with over forty others and reached the top seven. Once the top seven designs were selected by the Logo Design committee they were put to the test of the public. All students, staff, and community members were welcome to vote on their favorite design. Over six-hundred ballots were cast and the top 3 finalists were selected. The top three designs were then professionally retouched and were presented to the School Board on Tuesday, March 18th. Finally, after months of planning, design, and voting the new logo was decided upon.
Our new logo will soon replace our retired logo in many different places such as the school website, official school documents, letterheads, and envelopes. The new logo will also be made readily available to all staff to use in professional publication.
Clearly this was a district-wide effort from top to bottom and we thank all of those who took part directly or indirectly in giving our district a new visual identity.

Not only does this make different students every year show their P.G. spirit and have fun participating, but it makes them feel proud to have something that represents our school... Anita |
