District 46 Strategic Design Plan Link

Over the past several
months, members of the School District 46 community have developed
several key elements of the District's new Strategic Design Plan--
based upon feedback received from community members who volunteered
three days of their time. Their input and insights were
invaluable in this process. Superintendent Mary Fasbender
presented the plan to the Board of Education for approval on March
18, 2008.
Objectives were drafted for each of the nine goals, followed by staff, Plan Team, and Board feedback. The draft objectives were positively received, with the input supporting 1 to 2 objectives per goal. At its July Board of Education meeting, the administration and board held a committee of the whole meeting to chart a course for completing the action plans associated with each of the goals and objectives during the next few months, followed by the opportunity for more public feedback this fall.
On the right side of the district's homepage you will find a link posted as Strategic Design which includes the new district Vision, Mission, Core Values, Beliefs, and Goals which we invite you to visit. Once the objectives and action plans are aligned to the goals, additional Strategic Plan Team and Board input will be taken, followed by public input being integrated into the final version of the plan.
We look forward to your continued input and hope you will follow the district's progress on the Strategic Plan as we set the future direction for D-46, working together with actions that ensure student success.
