Do You Know Your Child's True Potential?
Midwest Academic Talent Search
by Laureen Loftus
You've seen the standardized tests, but often time these tests don't show the true potential of academically talented individuals. Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search (NUMATS)can help you out.
NUMATS provides students in grades 3 through 9 the opportunity to take tests designed for older students. This information gives a more precise assessment of a gifted child's potential in reading, math and science. This information can be helpful in making decisions and planning courses a student might choose.
