Geometry
The Geometry class is currently working on chapter 5 of the textbook which covers properties of triangles such as perpendicular bisectors, altitudes, angle bisectors, medians, etc. We will be discussing and using theorems that will help us understand the relationships that occur between the different concepts. Attached below is a copy of the assignment guide for this chapter.
On January 13, 2009 students will be taking their midterm exam which covers chapters 1-5.
There is an extra credit opportunity for all students on studyisland.com. Any student who passes any of the tests and earns a blue ribbon will earn extra credit points. There is not a due date, students should be continually working on this.
We are also going to utilizing the computer program Geometer's Sketchpad. This program allows students to use technology to construct and compare geometric shapes. These assignments will need to be completed in class.
