Advanced and Jazz Bands off to State Contest

The Prairie Grove Advanced and Jazz Bands received First Division ratings at the Illinois Grade School Music Association District Contest at Lundahl Middle School in Crystal Lake on Saturday, March 14, 2009. Both groups performed three selections and were critiqued by three judges in seven musical categories. The Advanced Band will go on to participate in the State Contest on Saturday, April 25, 2009, and the Jazz Band will go to State Contest on Saturday, May 2, 2009. State Contests for both groups will be held at Lundahl Middle School in Crystal Lake. Congratulations to all Band members! Good Luck at State!
