Welcome Parents, Students and Families!
January 5--January 15
Reading: We will read the story "Everglades". The Reading and Spelling tests will be on Thursday 1/15/08. In Guided Reading we are focusing on summarizing.
Social Studies: Students will be working in small groups to research various aspects in regards to the thirteen colonies. Each student will receive a specific area to research (e.g. geography, government, culture, etc). Next week, students will work on their colonies poster where they will depict their research.
Science: We started Chapter 11: "Matter & It's Properties". We are moving along and now working on the phase changes: solid, liquid and gases.
Math: We will be testing over Chapter 10: "Division" and moving along to Chapter 20 until the end of the quarter!

Upcoming Field Trips and Activities
Our Rush to Read Program has begun! If students read four books and complete four written book reports, they will receive two tickets to a Chicago Rush football game!
