Secondary Route Schedule Plan
Dear Parent or Guardian;
This letter is to inform you that the Department of Transportation has implemented a secondary route schedule plan for our District to pick up and return students to and from school in the event of a bus or driver shortage.
If you haven’t received a letter in the mail informing you of a route change due to shortages, your child’s route won’t be impacted.
Establishing a back-up plan will ensure an efficient and safe means to transport the students. You will be informed should there be any future route adjustment updates. This plan will affect 3 routes of the 13 routes in our District should this plan need to be implemented. You will also be informed as soon as possible from the District’s phone messaging system (ALERT NOW) in the morning and if it’s an early afternoon route shortage. Please be advised the plan may be in the AM, PM, or both. This plan will be used only if absolutely necessary. The District will inform you in any case.
