Compensation Reports
Public Act 96-0434 – Salary Compensation Report: On or before October 1st of each year, every school district in Illinois, shall post on its District website an itemized salary compensation report for employees holding an administrative certificate and working in that capacity. This report shall include base salary, bonuses, pension contributions, retirement increases, the costs for health and life insurance, paid sick and vacation day payouts, annuities, and other forms of compensation or income paid on behalf of the employee. This report must be presented at a regularly scheduled school board meeting, and sent to the McHenry County Regional Superintendent of Schools, who shall make copies available to any individual requesting them.
Public Act 96-0266 – Teacher and Staff Compensation Reports: Every school district must post all collective bargaining agreements that a school board enters into with an exclusive bargaining representative and provide the terms of those contracts online effective October 1, 2009. In addition, by July 1, 2010, boards of education must post the base salary and benefits of all teachers on its website and provide it to the Illinois State Board of Education. We will be complying with this second portion of the law by the required date.
