Weekly Assignments

Note to students and parents As of 11/11 all missing assignment are posted on the whiteboard in the room. It is the responsibility of the student to check the whiteboard and turn in the missing assignment. I took class time on 11/7 and 11/10 to notify the students of missing assignment. If the assignment is turned in after Friday 11/11 it is worth only 50%. If it is turned in after 11/18 it is worth 20%.
November 10 Notes and demonstrations done on Diffusion, Osmosis and Active Transport HOMEWORK: Students should study pages 20 and 21. A pop quiz will be given sometime this week where student will need to name parts of the cell. Spelling is important
November 11and 12 Lab activity on Osmosis and worksheets
Homework due on Thursday 11/13 Potato Lab and Amino Acid/Cell City Worksheet
November 13 Quiz on Cell Parts in class Workpacket on Photosynthesis. This workpacket will be finished in class or assigned as homework at a later date. For 8th hour Homework due on Friday 11/14 Potato Lab and Amino Acid/Cell City Worksheet
November 14 Station Lab Day
Next Test Day Wednesday November 19 Chapter 1 and Photosynthesis.
November 17 Review of Diffusion, Osmosis, Active Transport as well as Inside structures of Cells
Wednesday 11/19 Test on Description, Function and Name of Cell Organelles. Students will be allowed to use notes but not the textbook. For homework, students should be reviewing notes and adding any necessary information.

Note to Parents. On 12/5, the entire 7th grade will be taking a field trip to the Chicago Botanic Garden for a hands on lab activity on photosynthesis. I think this will be a wonderful opportunity for the students. I am very excited about this day and I think your children will learn from it and enjoy the day. I will continue to be their teacher until the end of 2nd quarter at which time Mrs. Piech will return.
