2009 ISAT Results

by Mary Fasbender

I am pleased to be able to share with our parents and community members the results of our ISAT scores for 2009 which demonstrate marked improvement each of the past five plus years. As we analyze the data, we believe such improvement is the direct result of our District Vision, related program enhancements designed to increase student achievement at all levels (see enclosed Math and Reading chart program changes), principal leadership, and excellent instruction by our staff. We are very proud of the efforts of our students, staff, and administrators and for the support of the Board over this time period. While the 2009 ISAT results are but one measure of student achievement and success, I believe it is important that we continue to look closely at our efforts on not only these assessments, but also by verifying our progress on MAP and AIMSweb, and against other similar regional school efforts.

The enclosed graphs and charts include ISAT District level scores over time, regional and subject score comparisons that continue to show increases in our student success rates on this important ISAT state measure. The Elementary and Junior High State Report Cards are also included. On the final page of the Report Card is each Principal’s summary of the building School Improvement Plan benchmark results.
