Congratulations to the PG Advanced Band and Jazz Band 1 on receiving Division 1 ratings (highest rating) at the IGSMA District Contest! Both bands have been invited to participate in the IGSMA State Contest. Jazz 1 received a perfect score from 2 of the 3 judges (with the third judge one point from a perfect score), and Advanced Band had one judge a point away from a perfect score as well. Another excellent festival outing for our bands!

Congratulations to PG Jazz Band 1 on an absolutely outstanding performance at the Mundelein Jazz Festival on Saturday! The band received straight “Division I” ratings (highest possible rating) from all three adjudicators and a very high overall score. They all had glowing remarks about the band’s performance, including one judge saying Jazz 1 is “one of the best middle school bands I’ve heard in a long time.” Special congratulations are in order for Sofia on the bari sax, who was awarded the “best of day” Outstanding Soloist Award for the middle school division! What a fantastic day of jazz for PG!
