Congratulations to PG Jazz 1 for an incredible performance at the Illinois Music Education Conference last Friday! The band received an enthusiastic standing ovation from a packed room and were met with rave reviews from music educators across the state. A retired band director of 30 years even reached out and wrote a letter to the band members:
"To the members of Prairie Grove Jazz Band,
I cannot express how much I enjoyed your performance at ILMEA. Your professionalism is only matched with your incredible talent. After working with students for over 30 years, your performance was awe inspiring. Your band is a standard all of us band directors wish to achieve for our kids. It also seems Mr. Crylen is having too much fun hanging with you at every meeting. Everyone in the state of Illinois is waiting to see the amazing musical things you will accomplish in high school. See you again in Peoria in a couple of years."
