This ray of sunshine is always one of the first to greet me, and she does it with the biggest smile!
Confident, kind, curious, and already showing the heart of a future leader, Kaya brings so much positive energy to Prairie Grove. And today, she was especially excited that we were twinning in our black dresses!
Kaya demonstrates so many of the qualities that make a great student and an even better friend: kindness, confidence, compassion, and a genuine joy for others.

Soccer and Volleyball games are still on!
Calling all 6th- 8th grade soccer players! We’re hosting additional tryouts Monday and Tuesday!
6th graders (boys and girls) are welcome to come tryout! This is a great opportunity to get involved.
Before attending, please make sure you have:
A current physical on file
A completed Agreement to Participate/Code of Conduct

Superintendent Snapshot 📸
There are some weeks in education that remind you exactly why you chose this work. 💚
This week was one of those weeks.
From kicking off the year with our incredible Prairie Grove staff, to welcoming families for Meet the Teacher, to the excitement of the first day of school, I’ve had the privilege of watching our district come alive.
And while the first week is filled with schedules, routines, new classrooms, backpacks, and a whole lot of logistics, what stood out to me most were the relationships beginning to form.
A teacher learning a student’s name.
A student finding a new friend.
A family meeting the people who will care for their child this year.
A staff member offering a smile, a helping hand, or a little extra encouragement.
Those moments matter.
As I shared with our staff at kickoff, culture isn’t what we put on a poster, it’s what people experience every day. And this week, I saw the beginnings of the culture I hope we continue to build together: one where students feel seen, families feel welcomed, and every member of our team knows they matter.
I’m incredibly grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received and for the energy, joy, and heart our Panthers brought to this first week.
One building. One team. One incredible beginning. 🐾💚

On the very first day of school, Ryan noticed a need and stepped up, without being asked or prompted! During dismissal, he jumped right in to help, demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and a willingness to support others.
These are the moments that make us proud to be Prairie Grove! 💚 Ryan, thank you for being a great example of what it means to be a caring, responsible, and contributing member of our school community.

🌟 Our Earliest Learners Are Off to a Great Start! 🌟
The halls are already filled with little footsteps, big smiles, and SO much excitement! 💚
Our youngest learners are beginning their school year, and they are already learning the most important things: how to be a classroom community, how to follow routines, and, of course, how to make new friends!
From backpacks bigger than they are to brave little faces ready to take on a brand-new adventure, we think these little learners are off to a pretty amazing start!
Welcome to Prairie Grove, friends! We can’t wait to see all the learning, growing, laughing, and memories this year will bring. 💚

We cannot wait to welcome Grades 5-8 students and families today (August 18) for Meet the Teacher at 2 PM!
As a reminder, Please enter through door 10 (Valley View parking lot) or door 27 (176 lot). During Meet the Teacher, families will get to meet classroom teachers, see classrooms, bring supplies, and tour our junior high building.
In the multipurpose room/cafeteria, we will have a Back to School photo backdrop. Near door 27/junior high entrance, Mrs. Master and Ms. Cotton will have an activity for families and students.

Cross Country practice begins Wednesday, the first day of school! If you’re interested in joining the team, make sure you have a physical on file and have completed the Agreement to Participate.

Please complete Agreement to Participate form (found on Athletic Website) - this only needs to be completed once a year for any athletics/clubs/activities, so fill it out now.
